Caring for the World

Last week in class we performed a PSA. For those who don't know what PSA stands for it means Public. Service. Announcement. Each group had powerful topics and ours was about Child Trafficking, a topic not known by many that must be brought to eyes of not only teenagers but the whole world. Doing a performance on something I didn't even know about or affected me in any way, made it really hard to not only to make it look like it affected me, but to find out what kids like me go through. So this project affected my thought on the world in a big way but performing it was really difficult. I had to perform in front of my class and teachers and I'm known as one of the funny people so trying to be a person who's sad about what they have to go through every day and then being really serious about a topic was quite the challenge. In the end though I think I got it down really well, except my teacher criticized how my nasaly voice was a big distraction but that was the only thing so I was kind of happy at the same time. Although now I have another chance to fix my voice because we're doing a whole new PSA with different groups in front of not only our class but 600 students! And were not using microphones so we really have to belt out our voice! This may be one of the hardest performances I've ever done or will do but I have a loud voice so I only need to work on my nasal voice. This performance is about AIDS  another powerful topic and I hope I can put even more power than I did in the other PSA. The strength I want to bring for the performance isn't only going to be towards me caring for people with AIDS, but because I'm going to be Caring for the World...
