The Branding Competition

In my favourite class called Acting for TV and Film we did a huge project called Branding.  Branding is when you build your class into a professional production company. TWO groups come up with a name logo, mission and vision statement in efforts to brand the class. In the end we pitch both ideas to a panel of professionals who than chose who the winner is by marking us on our presentation, print work and media component.

Now before I go into the results I'll say what it took to get it done. Now first your group had to come up with a good name, good colors to wear and talk about your budget. Once you had that done you had to figure out your mission and vision statements what you would wear, what food to serve, what music to play through it, and what would happen during intermission. There was a ton of other things that had to be done like business cards, websites, videos, moderators and more but it's to much to list.

Now both groups did a fine job in presenting both of there groups but unfortuantely we could only have one group win. The calculations were put together and sadly for my group Enigma Productions we had lost by a large margin boooooo. But then something happened my teacher and grade 12 helpers had noticed a huge error in the markings from both groups. With this change in the scores it became a close call between our groups with only a 1 point ahead avreage. If you added the lowest score to the markings Enigma would win but with out it Prolific would win. I thought we were about to win but they had chosen to take out the lowest score and we had lost. I was ok with their decision because it was a fun experience especially getting to know half of my class. Now our class is called PROLIFIC PRODUCTIONS!
