Caring for the World

Last week in class we performed a PSA. For those who don't know what PSA stands for it means Public. Service. Announcement. Each group had powerful topics and ours was about Child Trafficking, a topic not known by many that must be brought to eyes of not only teenagers but the whole world. Doing a performance on something I didn't even know about or affected me in any way, made it really hard to not only to make it look like it affected me, but to find out what kids like me go through. So this project affected my thought on the world in a big way but performing it was really difficult. I had to perform in front of my class and teachers and I'm known as one of the funny people so trying to be a person who's sad about what they have to go through every day and then being really serious about a topic was quite the challenge. In the end though I think I got it down really well, except my teacher criticized how my nasaly voice was a big distraction but that was the only thing so I was kind of happy at the same time. Although now I have another chance to fix my voice because we're doing a whole new PSA with different groups in front of not only our class but 600 students! And were not using microphones so we really have to belt out our voice! This may be one of the hardest performances I've ever done or will do but I have a loud voice so I only need to work on my nasal voice. This performance is about AIDS  another powerful topic and I hope I can put even more power than I did in the other PSA. The strength I want to bring for the performance isn't only going to be towards me caring for people with AIDS, but because I'm going to be Caring for the World...

A Small Vision of the Future

Two Weeks ago we watched the commercials our class performed and when mine came up I couldn't beleive it. I sounded so weird but funny at the same time and everyone was laughing! Even my teacher and mentors were laughing which is what I was going for so I was happy. We watched it two times and the first time I thought my voice was really bad because I couldn't hear my self at all and my voice was really nasaly, but the second time I actually liked it. I could hear my self more clearly and it was still funny and my teacher was laughing even more the second time, and even though I reached the goal I was aiming for, it showed me what I might be like on television if I ever get a big role. I can't remember if I was talking normally or with a slightly more nasaly voice because I wanted to act like I was a nerd for the commercial. I might've done it a bit to well at first which is what I wanted to do in the first place but I'm happy I took my teachers advice and didn't. It clearly would've been a disaster and as much as watching this commercial was embarrasingly funny, it gave me A Small Vision of the Future...

The Beginning of an Old Beginning

Today I heard the most wonderful news to my ears in a long time! I was put back on a website called castingworkbook.com. It's a website where directors for hit shows and movies, like Hot Tub Time Machine and Twilight Saga: Eclipse, go to look for new actors. I used to be on it before but I hadn't renewed my pictures so I was taken off when I was around eleven. I've been waiting for this day to come ever since grade nine and now it's finally here! Soon I'll be getting auditions for television shows and movies like I used to. Hopefully my acting class has taught me well enough to get auditions more frequently. Before I'm officially on the site though, I have to get some professional pictures done to add because I still have my old picture up and I'm at the age where I can get into those high school shows. I will post the link to where you can find my picture as soon as I'm done updating them. Have nice day my wonderful readers because for me it's The Beginning of an Old Beginning.

More than what you think...

Hello Blog readers! If you have read my other blog posts you might get the impression that I love to act and do acting related activities and nothing else. But your wrong! I have two other passions in life maybe not greater than my acting passion, but close to it. I also love to cook and play video games often. If you were to describe me on how good my cooking is you might describe me as some one who was born to cook or an excellent baker as I have been described by my parents and my cooking teacher. I don't really know how to express my feelings for cooking but if I had to I would say, "It lets me show people I can make them feel good without words" Video games is something I use to show my cocky side. I like to say " I'm the best gamer ever!" So even though I'm very cocky about that,I'm also very humble because I would usually say Except in sports games" right after that because I know I'm not good at them. They just don't interest me.
I hope this changes your opinion of me because I'm More than what you think...

A Wicked Experience

On Wednesday of November the 5th my class and some other classes went on a trip to see the performance of Wicked. It's a play about what happened between the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West in the movie The Wizard of OZ. It's kind of like a prequel to the movie but it actually crosses over the movie as it goes by. But before we went to go see the play, we stayed at the Eaton Centre for about 2 hours we got to walk around in a group and see the stores and get something to eat. It was really fun to walk around the mall with my friends because we were being silly and having fun! I couldn't really find anything in my price range that I wanted to buy, but it was ok. After the 2 hours was done, we walked over to the Canon Theather, and finnaly watched the play. I had fallen asleep for about 10 mins because the music was really soothing at first even though I didn't really want to fall asleep since my parents had paid a lot of money to watch this play. My friends had woken me up though and I stayed up for the rest of the play after that and I'm glad i did. The way the actors could portray their characters and be able to sing and stay in place without any screw ups was truly inspiring. Even though theather acting is not the kind of acting I want to persue it is definately interesting to watch and to learn from. As the play had come to an end, our class went outside and decided their next action which was to either leave with first bus that was coming or we could stay and shop for another hour until our bus came. I had decided to stay with my friends and shop and when our bus ride came I had a bag full of skittles that I ate and got really hyper on the bus acting really crazy and other stuff. All of these things together had made for A Wicked Experince...
